Some things I am doing to prepare for the new school year

Last weekend I attended the Port Saint Lucie's 50th anniversary, and they were also having a multicultural Festival. I walked around and spoke to several of the people representing their country and asked them if they would come speak to our children in our class. They were very excited to hear that we were teaching "Multiculture" in preschool. I went home with several contacts.
Another thing that I have done is sent out e-mails to our local recycle center asking if any items came in if they would let me know and I would come and get them. I just picked up calendars with pictures of France, and Italy. Great Pictures! I also picked up some maps:) Lots of planning, but tons of fun for me!
