Reusing old calendars

Old Calendar's pictures are great resources for the classroom. You can usually get these discounted after the new year, you can go to your local recycle center, or just ask the families in your class to send them in after Christmas. I have found many calendars at our local recycle center, and some of my favorites are Wild Amimals, Artist's Paintings, and Famous Landmarks Around the World. I usually crop them down a bit and I make sure that I write exactly what "famous landmark" it is,etc. And then, if I have the extr cash, I will laminate. I will then file in which ever country they pertain to. The kids LOVE the pictures! They are excellent tools for your classroom:)
